U.S. Bancorp Wins "Top Banking Team" Award from U.S. Banker
Diane Thormodsgard and Pam Joseph Among Most Powerful Women in Banking

U.S. Bancorp is proud to have been recognized as having the nation's "Top Banking Team" of women in executive positions by U.S. Banker magazine.

Three bank teams from around the country were selected based on the combined overall performance of senior women who head business units and functional areas across the enterprise. The U.S. Bank team, consisting of women in commercial banking, commercial real estate, consumer banking, corporate banking, payments and wealth management as well as business support units including credit, finance, human resources, legal, risk, technology and operations, was named the No. 1 team by the magazine.

In addition, two U.S. Bancorp women were named among the "25 Most Powerful Women in Banking" – Pam Joseph, vice chairman for payments at U.S. Bancorp, and Diane Thormodsgard, president of U.S. Bank Institutional Trust & Custody and Corporate Trust Services. Joseph ranked 9th and Thormodsgard ranked 12th.

According to U.S. Banker, this year's ranking was the most rigorous in its four-year history. The magazine considered 5,100 women before arriving at its "25 Most Powerful Women in Banking." Nominees were measured on financial performance, business initiatives, results and tenure in the business. The ranking also considers "job complexity and responsibility, management style, best practices, charitable work and overall influence within the institution, the industry and the community," according to the magazine.

U.S. Banker is a monthly magazine published by SourceMedia and is not affiliated with U.S. Bancorp.
