Where Did All My Money Go?
Have you ever noticed that when you get money as a gift or when you get your allowance that it disappears really fast? Make your money last longer with these tips.
Write down what you buy. Try writing down everything you buy for a month, and add everything up. You might see
that you spent a lot of money
on things that you don't need
or didn't plan on.
Plan for next time. If you spent a lot on movies, think about deciding how many movies you want to see next month. Next time you get money as a gift or for extra chores you'll know how much you'll need for tickets.
Split up your money. You can split up money you want to spend on things like movies or a birthday gift for a friend. Label an envelope for each thing you want to use the money for and
divide your allowance among the envelopes.
Spend a little, save a little. Think about saving some of your money, too. Ask your parents about putting the money in a savings account and you might be pleasantly surprised to see how it can grow!
